FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK

Please join us next Sunday, November 16, for the 9 a.m. Mass and dedicatory program opening our parish center, named for those former religious who taught for may years in the parish school.

REMEMBERING OUR DEAD

Envelopes for your listing of deceas3ed to be included in prayers at Masses this month are in your packet of collection envelopes. Fill out the list and drop in the collection basket. It is a good and holy thing to pray for souls.

And protect our military worldwide. Consider taking an hour in the Adoration Chapel to pray for their safety and return home soon. Call 342-8678.

PARISH CENTER

The newly renovated and redesigned complex named for the Sisters of Mercy, former teachers of our school, will be dedicated November 16, beginning with the 9 a.m. Mass and following with the ceremony at 10 a.m. A reception and tours will re-introduce you to the building and its features.

If anyone has any antique or reproduction antique furniture in good condition and would care to donate such to the newly renovated school.convent complex, please call the development office at 432-8244. Tables, chairs, artwork, etc. would be greatly appreciated and gratefully welcome.

SKI TRIP

Our Father Steve Williams will lead an excursion for our young folks to Showshoe, West Virginia, from Saturday, February 21 through Wednesday, February 25. The $388 cost includes food, ski-lifts tickets, lodging and bus transportation. An $88 deposit is due by November 15, the balance by January 14. An informational meeting will be held on January 15, 2003

CATHOLIC SENIORS

The newly organized group will conduct tours of Cathedral Place and sponsor a reception following Christ the King. Tickets: $5.

GALA CONCERT

One of the first Christmas programs will be presented by Musica Sacra choir and chamber orchestra at 8:15 p.m. November 29 and 30 in Saint Mary's Church. Soprano Lauren Zoghby and Mobile's Singing Children will be featured. Christopher Uhl will direct; Louis Daniel will conduct his "love, Come This Blessed Morn." Donations will be appreciated.

McGILL TOOLEN CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL

will sponsor an Open House Sunday, November 16, 2003 beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Toolen Auditorium. This is for parents of prospective students entering in the fall of 2004-2005. The Open House will begin with an introductory assembly and feature break-out sessions followed by a reception. For more information call 441-0809.
